I have been a photographer for almost 25 years, studying classic black and white photography in art school. I switched to digital a few years back but have tried to preserve the old-school aesthetic.

Photography as a medium is the same whether it’s celluloid or CMOS; all that matters is the vision. While they say everything has already been shot, making pictures is about a unique perspective that makes an image stand out in the viewers mind.
HDR Photo
A recent technique in photography has developed with the rise of digital cameras and Photoshop. HDR as it’s known, stands for High Dynamic Range. Essentially you take 3 (or more) images at varying exposures and then combine them into one image with extended detail in the shadows and highlights. Here’s one of I did when I first learned about the technique:
